Youth Infusion, Inc. is a grassroots, nonprofit organization which creates
school based and community based programs for youth in northeast Pennsylvania.
Youth Infusion is working to realize a vision: a society full of educated and empowered young people
whose voices truly impact their communities and the world at large.
Youth Infusion, Inc. is dedicated to engaging young men and women of Northeast Pennsylvania in the process of improving communities by providing them with skills, knowledge, resources and opportunities that will foster youth voice/action and empower them to improve their lives and the lives of others. Youth Infusion will facilitate collaboration with community partners including, but not limited to, educational institutions, businesses, government agencies and other non-profit organizations to ensure that youth participation/action is valued

- We are all responsible for empowering youth, providing them with opportunities to participate in shaping public policy, especially where it directly affects their lives and their futures.
- Meaningful service-learning activities that include Youth Voice help to build and create strong, diverse communities of engaged, intelligent, and socially responsible young people who are committed to civic action and who have a passion for learning.

Executive Director, Jessica first started with Youth Infusion as a Program Coordinator for the Shape Up program. Being a part of this program had opened up her eyes to how important it is to give these opportunities to the youth in Monroe County. Before becoming a part of the Youth Infusion Organization, Jessica went to Stroudsburg Area School District and continued her education at East Stroudsburg University. She then received her Bachelors in Psychology and continued on to receive her Masters in Public Health. Jessica lives with her husband, son and two dogs in the Poconos, which she is a native of. She loved growing up in the area and loves to give back to her community, especially to our youth. Jessica is honored to be part of such a great organization, and she loves to help shape our future generations.
RIDE PROGRAM LEADER-TRIPS FOR KIDS-POCONO FLOW Jim has competed in the sport of off-road mountian biking for more then a decade 2001-2011 and climbing from the expert ranks to pro level in downhill, dual slalom and professional freestyle cycling. Jim is experienced in all aspects of design, layout and construction for walking and mountain bike trails, as well as bike parks. He has been a trail design consultant and trail construction contractor for 20 years. Jim understands sustainable trail design, following IMBA standards and he strives to reduce the environmental footprint of trails on the landscape. He has experience with mechanized machinery and trail design equipment that reduces environmental impacts to the environment. From his home in the Poconos, Jim as a Ride Leader and programmer for the “Trips For Kids” Pocono Chapter. He is the Head Coach for Madd March Racing, a branch of Off-Road cycling Camps Worldwide.

Emily Daly- Board President
Emily became involved with Youth Infusion while working as a Community Resources Coordinator for Monroe County Head Start. She attended Hunter College in New York City where she received her BA in English Literature. She moved to the Poconos with her husband Gene to raise her family. She is an active community volunteer and enjoys working with agencies such as, Habitat for Humanity, Monroe County Interagency Council and PATH, to name a few. She now works as a Community Outreach Representative for AmeriHealth Northeast Health Plan.
Catherine E. Trinkle- Board Treasurer
Cathy is a graduate of Pace University where she received a B.S. degree in Accounting. Upon graduating she was employed by Oppenheim, Appel Dixon & Co., a large regional accounting firm in New York City. She moved to Pennsylvania in 1990 and was employed at Kirk, Summa & Co., LLC in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. In 2007 she opened her own practice and she now has an office on Main Street in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Cathy is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and New York.
Patricia Tiernan- Board Secretary
Trish Tiernan is an English, Gender Studies, and Digital Publishing Teacher at East Stroudsburg High School South. She has been on the board of Youth Infusion for many years and she has successfully implemented school based service learning projects through the English, Gender, and Digital Production curriculum using documentary film making for most service projects. Trish received her B.A. in English Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey (formerly, Trenton State College), and her M.A. in Gender Studies from Rutgers University. After college, Trish taught as an adjunct professor in Women’s and Gender Studies at The College of New Jersey. Additionally, she taught English and Gender Studies at Freehold Regional High School District for seven years until moving to the Poconos with her family in 2005. Trish is a competitive distance runner and an avid outdoor enthusiast/environmental activist.
Michael Albert – Board Member
Michael Albert joined Youth Infusion hoping to contribute to the organization’s efforts to inspire youth and improve communities in the Poconos, by building on his knowledge and experience in doing similar work in many places outside of the USA, including Bangladesh, Mali, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Liberia, Haiti and Thailand. While not originally from the area, Michael now calls Shawnee on Delaware in the Poconos his home after moving here in early 2013, after meeting his wife and long-time resident of Shawnee in West Africa in 2008, where they were both working in humanitarian programs. Michael holds a BSc from McGill in Montreal, and a Masters in International Community Health from the University of Oslo in Norway. Michael currently serves as the Director, Grants Development for Right To Play, a global not for profit, presently using sport and play to educate and empower over 1 million children and youth in disadvantaged communities in over 20 countries around the world. Michael works remotely, based in the Poconos- a short distance from Right to Play’s office in NYC.
Rachel Frick Cardelle- Board Member
Dr. Rachel Frick Cardelle serves as the Associate Dean of Administrative Services at Northampton Community College’s (NCC) Monroe campus. Her professional career has been spent in community development in Latin America and the U.S. focusing primarily on health and education. She has worked as a grant writer for numerous organizations, including NCC, and served for four years as a school board member in the Stroudsburg Area School District. She earned her undergraduate degree at University of Colorado, her Masters in international economics, and social change and development at Johns Hopkins University, and her Ph.D. in higher education at Pennsylvania State University.
